THE PRINCIPAL AIMS

Act as an internal advisor to other HoleBASE users within your organisation.

To build confidence in the use of Visual Form Designer to create borehole logs and data charts.

To teach HoleBASE users expression-building techniques in order to design forms that react appropriately to the data encountered.

To teach how to access HoleBASE’s data directly from Excel and use this data in charts, macros or re-importation back to HoleBASE
ENABLING OBJECTIVES On completion of this course you should be able to: -

To teach skills in operating KeyAGS under Microsoft Excel, including setting up and using a advanced data entry system

Set up and operate a complete data entry system in MS Excel, including the export of data to HoleBASE and external AGS files.
- Use the Visual Form Designer to create data charts and logs, and through the correct use of the expression builder, control how data is displayed according to criteria you specify.

Use HoleBASE Wizard for Excel to create data macros and charts in Excel.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Delegates considering this course should have the following:
- Familiarity with Site Investigation
- A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista or Microsoft® Windows® XP
- A working knowledge of Microsoft® Excel
- Some experience of HoleBASE, KeyAGS and HB Reporter for Excel, as may have been typically gained on the GO-DM1: SI Reporting using the Geotechnical Office course
- A knowledge of the AGS data transfer format may also be helpful
